ASUNCIÓN
Asunción is one of the oldest cities of South America, and it is the capital of the country of Paraguay. The country contains such a rich culture that stems from the original indigenous tribes. It barely survived many injust battles from neighboring countries that successfully acquired large portions of the landlocked country. As a result, Paraguay has risen with a constant spirit of reliance and strength. Asunción is a spaced-out city that allows itself to be interrupted by nature. With this project, I showcase the lively and rich spirit of the city using elements I created using the intersection of the culture and vegetation. The colors I chose were selected based on the three colors of the main tree that grows throughout, the "Lapacho". I created the visual elements and typography based on a traditional Paraguayan lace, the "Ñanduti".
